Nanny 911

So the air is chilly and the mood is a bit blah. It’s been nearly a year since my last blog post. To be honest I’ve just become overwhelmed with all the blogs; Nate’s, Lana’s, my biz blog, and of course this one. So I dumped all of them but the biz one. I know it’s not great, but I just had to do it.

Now I’m back, but I’m changing things up a bit. I’ll post all things relating to our family here; instead of here, there, and everywhere. My goal is to blog here at LEAST once a week.
So on to my topic.

Finding a nanny. MAN, it’s a full time job in its self. I’ve interviewed a few people and I can’t help but to walk away disappointed. The latest encounter happened today. I had been speaking to this mom of 4 for a few weeks and decided to call her today to set up a face to face. When I let her know our routine and explained the job, which includes fun activities with the kids, lunch, nap, and a bit of kid related light housework, she said that she wanted the kids to come to her house instead so that she can do HER laundry while the kids napped.

So, I’m supposed to pay her for 2 hours of my kids napping and her doing HER laundry. Um, REALLY!

Super Nanny, please come work for me 8 hours a week. PLEASE!!!
