ELEVEN YEARS OF JOY AND AWE!

I’ve been absent again cyber friends. Swamped with holiday clients, card making, traveling, Christmas decorating, tending to my two snuggly sick kids and …ahhh, excuse me, did you hear that? That was me blowing my nose. Yeap, now I’m sick. BOO HOO! Why do I have to get sick after giving my kids all the love, snuggles and nurturing that they needed to get well? :-(

It’s all good, I can press on with my box of Kleenex, hand soap, and lotion….. but that’s not very romantic. Is it?

Yes, I said romantic. That’s because tomorrow is a BIG DAY for me. Tomorrow Andre and I celebrate 11 amazing years of marriage. I’m privileged to celebrate with my companion, best-friend, partner, and my babies Daddy. Andre is at the heart of everything that truly matters to me in my life, and while I’m far from perfect he still loves me for me, even when I wake up in the morning with my bird nest hair and my bare runny nosed face. He loves me with my flaws and my occasional mishaps.

I love the person that he is with his strong work and family ethics, his devoted passion, and his incredibly charming self. I deeply loved the person that he was when I met him, and back then I foolishly thought that in our intense moments of love and devotion that there would never be a day that I could love him more. Truth be told I love him far more today than I did walking in that german court room speaking the words “I will”.

As I type this post my heart is bounding and the butterflies in my tummy are fluttering out of sheer joy and awe. As if I were meeting him for our first date. Oh, we were so young.

You are the man of my dreams and my rock. I could love you for a trillion years and still my love for you would continue to grow. You amaze me with your wicked charm and your steadfast devotion to me and the kids. I’m so very proud and grateful for the man that you are and for you seeing my potential and for helping me to be the best “me”, that I can be.
